‘Just a word,’ the preface page where the author shares his thoughts, telling us how “Our connectedness is what makes our journey through life easier. This is what propels us towards our purpose.” This draws one in and propels you to read it. The Chap book is divided into three sections:
1. Peace; where we learn about how peaceful the persona’s life is, enjoying the comfort of his environment and the love of his beloved until disaster stuck, with him running away in a manner that could be termed cowardice.
2. Purgatory; mirrors the difference phases/emotions he went through afterwards. From being downcast, desolate and discontent to taking a decision towards restoration.
3. Paradise; we see how hard it is to get to the summit, the many challenges along the way and then finally, the persona’s reaches the summit and apologizes to his beloved.
Throughout the book, the pictures of a tiger in various postures gives more clarity to the words. One is lead to assume the tiger is the persona but the language, emotions and challenges portrayed therein is very relatable to human interactions and relationships.
Even though the book ended too suddenly for me, it is a chap book one does not get tired of reading as each read opens up aspects one didn’t see initially.
