STUDENTS

During my service year, I taught in a secondary school. Two of my students taught me something…

Christopher was extremely quiet and a loner, he never raises his hands in class but always had the best written answers in my tests, assignments and examination.
So one day I asked, “why don’t you ever raise your hands in class, you are very bright”.
“They always laugh at me because I stammer so it’s better when I’m quiet” was his reason.

Grace on the other hand is a chatterbox and very friendly, she was always the first to raise her hands when a question is asked in class, but, she almost always gives the wrong answers.
One day I asked her, “don’t you get tired of being laughed at?”
“No ma, I don’t. They’ll laugh but you’ll correct me and I’ll get to know the right answer” was her response.

At the end of the day, it’s up to you to decide what you want to do with your life irrespective of how people around respond.
