They called me by my disability:
Blind; for I have no eyes
Deaf; cause my ears hear not
Crippled; for my legs are limp
Dumb; cause I can’t speak.
For a long time, I too called myself by my disability,
Until I read Numbers 11, verse 33 stood out…
“… We felt as small as grasshoppers, and that is how we must have looked to them.”
Then, did I realize that how I feel about myself,
Determines how I think people see me.
